On Sunday I drove up to Hollywood.  I needed a trip to Amoeba pretty badly.  The cashier even gave me a dollar off since it was my birthday!  I got a bunch of good stuff: Au Revoir Simone, Chiddy Bang, Mika, and some Nicki Minaj.  They didn’t have 151a by Kishi Bashi though…

After Amoeba I took a stroll down Melrose Ave.  It was hot out, but I loved the atmosphere.  It was one of those afternoons when I realize just how much I like LA.  I went in and out of the little shops, and found that weird megaman-obama in an art toy gallery.  I talked with the girl at Goorin Bros. Hats about what a beautiful day it was.  After a couple hours I got back in my car and drove east on Santa Monica.  Apparently it was Gay Pride weekend, because there was a huge festival down near Beverly Hills.  Rainbow Flags EVERYWHERE!
